Does Cheaper Mean Better?

It's 2019 and with the help of Google the world is at our fingertips. Going on vacation? Here's over 100+ websites rating the best resorts and destinations of your choice and another 100+ offering you a better rate and deal. You narrow down your selections based of reviews and pick one that fits your budget!
Now say someone rear ends your brand new car. Your insurance gives you a list of places where you can get it fixed. You may google a few, look at their reviews and move forward with say the top 3. You get quotes from all three. Now do you pick the cheapest or the one that seemed most detailed and knowledgeable?
The same idea applies to home insurance claims as well. Often times we hear homeowners say they have someone who can do it cheaper, or they let us know their adjuster wants them to go with the cheapest company. It is your home and you always have the right to choose which mitigation company you would like to do the work; however, cheaper doesn't always mean better. SERVPRO of Biddeford-Saco always follows 18 inches beyond the affected area to ensure we leave no surprises behind. Leaving water in building materials (especially porous materials) can lead to mold growth (surprise!). Which can cause health issues for yourself and family.
Did you know SERVPRO of Biddeford-Saco uses moisture meters every day on-site to ensure we dry every affected material before we pull our industry grade drying equipment. We also have thermal imaging cameras for areas of question we may not be able to penetrate with a moisture meter.
